Years ago, one of my dear yoga students created a website for me (Thank you Michael), but at that time I was not ready. My plate was full and at that time my priorities were more scattered, and maintaining and utilizing a website was not a priority. It is now time... and even time to blog. I never thought I would ever 'blog', but I hope for some these blogs are useful. :) I have never considered myself a writer, but I will give it a whirl. :)
I have had much change the past several years and have immersed myself with new beginnings within the last year. I moved out of a state of which I had spent 35 years of my life, changed my primary 'job', and am now able to re-evaluate priorities and create new beginnings. I left a community I felt very much a part of to go to a new place where I know hardly anyone. It has been interesting, challenging, and beautiful. I'm excited to create more connections here.
It is also a time for prioritizing... how I spend my time. Before now, my path had taken me to being overcommitted to many things that I love with all my heart. However, it was too much. I now have the time to decide what are the most important things in my life. Teaching the amazing and beautiful science of yoga and immersing myself in creativity are what I am focusing on right now.
This is a picture of the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen - in Bali for my 30th birthday. It was a different time off new beginnings. Remembering that every moment is a new moment is important. One may need to move out of state, travel far away, or change jobs to create new beginnings...but we can also create new beginnings any time we want, anywhere.
